Basundari provides the best environment for practicing yoga and meditating. There is a Yoga Shala and several meditation spots. Basundari also features two common pools, a café, and an upper and shared space. Next to that Basundari is surrounded by beautiful nature like rice fields and a jungle where frogs, butterflies, geckos, squirrels, dragonflies, ducks, chickens, lizards, and the rare snake may be found. The light shines through the bamboo and coconut trees as the sun rises. The path through Basundari leads to the different spaces.
The Yoga Shala is a big open and wooded place (65m2) situated among gigantic bamboo trees near the river. When it rains, a soothing waterfall cascades down the back of the Shala. It accommodates 23 yoga mats, 40 sitting yogis, or 15 aerial yogis inside. Also the Yoga Shala has blankets, blocks, bolsters, yoga mats, cushions, straps, a white board, and 15 aerial yoga hang points.
The location of this resort is situated near the Ubud center which is the perfect place for shopping and cafe hoping. For those who can ride motorbike, just rent it for the duration of the trip and go anywhere you wish or just walk. The location is walkable to the Ubud center. (Around 10 mins by bike and a little more by foot, nothing a yogi cannot handle.)

Total 11 rooms with a Maximum of occupancy of 22 people All rooms come with Super King Size and it can be separated to 2 singles for twin share. *Rooms will be allocated by the organiser of the retreat.

Shala @ Basundari Retreat Ubud Resort
Nested near the river with giant bamboo. Enjoy a session of asana with the sound of the river flowing in the background. When it rains, the sound of the rain falling sounds like a waterfall and its beautiful surrounding makes the asana session amazing.

*To ensure you have a full day on both your check-in and check-out days, we recommend timing your flights accordingly. If there are no flights available that allow for a full day, we suggest arriving in Denpasar one day earlier and staying overnight. This way, you can start your trip refreshed and make the most of your time in Ubud.
Additionally, we will make an effort to coordinate the departure from Singapore airport to Ubud together, if feasible. This will help streamline the travel process and ensure a smooth transition for the entire group.

Pathway that lead into modern evolutionary of Yoga, exploring the richness of the relationship between body, mind, and movement. You will gain enough in-depth knowledge and understanding of the practice of teaching Yoga as a confident Yoga teacher. Payment terms:
S$580 deposit is required to secure your space. After confirmation of your air tickets, we’ll proceed to receive the full payment.
In situations where you need a refund, it’d be on a case-to-case basis. However, if you have to withdraw after 1 May 2024, there is strictly no refund. You may find a replacement traveller for the trip instead.
Cost doesn’t include your air tickets, which you have to personally purchase depending on your preference and schedule. Please share your flight details with us beforehand for us to plan.

We welcome practitioners of ALL levels but it is recommended for practitioners who have been regularly practicing for at least 6 months. We also ask that you commit fully to the course (200 hours) if you do decide to sign up. As a Registered Yoga School under the Yoga Alliance, we set ourselves apart with a certified curriculum as a foundation for all our classes and teaching at the studio.
A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) is a distinction given to yoga teachers whose training and teaching experience meet Yoga Alliance requirements. A RYT must complete training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS), be confirmed by Yoga Alliance and current with annual fees and Continuing Education.
Our YTT places a strong focus on teaching practicalities from day 1. Peculiar Yogi’s YTT aims to help guide you towards finding your own path. With ample opportunities for teaching practice, you can expect to finish the 10 week course well-equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to conduct your classes.
Yes. We cover a wide spectrum of styles of yoga, focusing mainly on Hatha Vinyasa, but will introduce key principles and sequences of Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, and the spectrum of schools of yoga.
The cost of the training manual and assessments are already included in the course fees. There will be additional books and reference materials that we will encourage you to get hold of as well, at your own cost.
There will be graded assignments, theory and practical assessments as part of the certification. You will be required to pass this in order to be certified as competent for teaching classes. Upon successful completion of the YTT, graduates will receive a certificate of completion with Peculiar Yogi, and can claim the prestigious RYT-200 term upon registration with Yoga Alliance.
